Jane Robbins of the American Principles Project explains Common Core

Schools (K-12) throughout the nation are being asked to adopt a new set of educational content standards known as Common Core.     These standards have been written at the federal, not the state or local, level, are tied to funding available as Race to the Top (and other programs), and are an attempt to control the education of your children without parents’ or school board input.
