The regular meeting Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council (TCRPC) on March 21, 2014 was primarily devoted to presenting and discussing the proposed All Aboard Florida passenger rail service, which plans to run 32 daily passenger trains along the existing Florida East Coast rail line from Miami to Orlando.

It is striking that the overwhelming majority of comments made by local elected and appointed officials on this TCRPC Board were expressing concerns about the negative impacts that All Aboard Florida would have on their local communities. It is very clear that NOT All are Aboard in Florida.

Before we show you your local officials, we share with you a video clip from Victor Gonzalez’s question and answer session. Victor is the Vice President of Business Development at Flagler Global Logistics, a subsidiary of Florida East Coast Industries (FECI), parent corporation of All Aboard Florida. Victor is giving his response to a question about taxpayer financial support for the All Aboard Florida project:

Some of the following clips of elected and appointed officials are individual comments. Others are questions to the meeting’s presenters and incorporate the answers provided by the two presenters:

  • Dr. Kim Delaney, Strategic Development Coordinator with the TCRPC
  • Victor Gonzalez, Vice President of Business Development, Flagler Global Logistics, a subsidiary of Florida East Coast Industries (FECI)
