Solari-Reininger_DebateThe Taxpayers Association of Indian River County hosted a debate on August 11, 2014 between Indian River County Commissioner Bob Solari and All Aboard Florida’s President and Chief Development Officer Michael Reininger.  The subject of the debate was the high speed passenger rail system that All Aboard Florida, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Florida East Coast Industries, LLC, is proposing to operate.

The proposed system would run 32 trains per day between the cities of Orlando and Miami – bisecting all our towns and cities along the Treasure Coast, at 110 miles per hour carrying business and luxury travelers between Orlando and the three south county cities of West Palm Beach, Ft. Lauderdale and Miami, with no stops in the counties between Orlando and West Palm Beach,

Most, if not all local Treasure Coast jurisdictions have concluded that All Aboard Florida provides their citizens with “no benefit”, but many costs, and 29 jurisdictions and local organizations have signed Resolutions opposing the All Aboard Florida project and all taxpayer funding that might be used to support the project..

This debate helps educate the general public about the issues involved with the All Aboard Florida project.  AC4PR videotaped the entire debate and has divided the debate into four video segments.  Please click the links below to view each debate segment:
